Two-frequency (2F) cube shown as duo-tet, with black and orange 2F tetrahedra. Cuboctahedron shown in yellow.

Pentagonal dodecahedron embraces the 2F cube. Six "tents" push into the volumes of neighboring 2F cubes.

2F cube of volume 24 with internal cube of volume 3. Dual to internal cube is red octahedron. Inscribed in the octahedron is an Icosahedron (cyan). The eight icosa faces embedded in the octa faces serve to base Lehman's spires, which have their tips at the corners of the 2F cube.

Above: six neighboring 2F cubes with embracing pentagonal dodecahedra define six "tents" protruding into the central 2F cube. The tent "ridge poles" define the three sets of mutually parallel golden rectangles characteristic of any regular icosahedron. In this case, the icosahedron (cyan) is embedded in the concentric hierarchy octahedron (volume 4). Eight of its faces provide bases for the Lehman sculpture's tetrahedral spires to the corners of the 2F cube, their long edges defined by the intrusive tents.
